Draconis Bane- Blood Feud Book One By David Temrick
Warning: Contains a lot of battle scenes and gore
Draconis’ Bane by David Temrick, is the first book in the Blood Feud series. It’s about one ruling family that has dragon blood in their veins. The middle child, a son, is spelled to think he’s eight years old, living in an abusive home, but with the help of his family, he breaks free of the spell and goes on a quest to find the person responsible. I’m a huge fan of fantasy, and dragons are some of my favorite creatures to read about.
What I liked:
I enjoyed the tight-knit family, and especially Tristan’s relationship with his older brother, Kevin.
I also liked all of the battles. There was a lot of action, but after a while it became predictable.
I liked the dragon lore. It seemed well thought out and worked well with the story.
I also liked the antagonists, especially the leader.
What didn’t work:
The writing. This book needs a lot of editing. There were disjointed paragraphs and run on sentences.
Tristan didn’t struggle with really anything. As soon as he wakes up from the spell, he’s suddenly unbeatable in everything he does. There’s nothing personal at stake for him and that just dropped the suspense.
My Rating: 2/5
Plot: 2/5
Character: 1/5
Dialogue: 2/5
Writing: 1/5

I do not recommend this book for adults. Maybe young teens. If you’re interested in this book, you can buy it on Amazon, here for only $3.99
